St. Mary’s College has a history of an inclusive policy regarding pupils who may have learning difficulties. It accepts pupils of a wide range of ability and talents, and evidence shows that many of these pupils achieve creditable results – both academic and non-academic – according to their potential.
All of our pupils are offered dyslexia screening upon entry to the school and are supported throughout their time at St. Mary’s. Pupils are not only supported within their lessons but, where necessary, are offered individual and/or small group support with a specialist teacher.
Access arrangements are made for GCSE and A Level examinations to ensure that our pupils obtain the results they deserve. Further support is provided throughout the university admissions process and during the transition to higher education.
